GC71108 Adven Entrelac Working in Rounds
by Carolyn Christmas. Have fun learning how to make Tunisian crochet entrelac beginning from the center and working outward in rounds to make a potholder, pillow and hat and scarf. Items shown made with worsted-weight cotton and acrylic yarns and a bulky yarn like Lion Brand Homespun, and can be made with Tunisian or regular crochet hooks. Entrelac is made block by block. In this pattern, we are working from the center outward, with each round of blocks growing a bit larger. Because the rows in Tunisian entrelac are so short, a Tunisian or afghan stitch hook is not necessarily needed; entrelac can be made with a regular crochet hook as well as a Tunisian hook.

by Kim Guzman. Tunisian crochet is stitched with an afghan hook that is longer than a traditional crochet hook, with a stopper or cable on one end to keep on loops on your hook. You will be amazed at how easy and beautiful these lace stitches are, and will want to learn each and every one! Even if you've never tried Tunisian crochet before, this book is for you. The basic stitches of Tunisian are explained (Tunisian Simple Stitch, Tunisian Knit Stitch, Tunisian Reverse Stitch, etc.) and then those basic stitches are combined into Tunisian Lace stitches created especially for this book. Step-by-Step color photos and detailed instructions!. The book also includes a DVD! This is like having a personal one-on-one class with a designer in your very own home! These patterns are then put to use in projects such as a wonderfully textured throw with bobbles and other textured combinations, a number of fabulous wraps and shawls worked with the most marvelous stitch combos ever, market bag, baby afghan and a rustic table runner, guaranteed to make your stitching fingers itch to start on them. The 10 projects are beautiful, and the stitch patterns are both new and timeless. 59 pages

GC081109 How to Tunisian Cro Entrelac
This pattern contains step-by-step photos and instructions for several configurations of entrelac including diamonds on point, diagonal stripes, around the world, and sunshine and shadow. Instructions are included for a project in each configuration, and instructions are given for using these techniques to make any square or rectangular project of any size from potholders to full-size afghans. Materials and gauge: Tunisian crochet entrelac may be worked with any yarn and appropriate hook size. Generally, best results are obtained with any type of Tunisian crochet when it's worked with a larger hook than you would use for traditional crochet with a particular yarn. Tunisian crochet is normally worked with a long, straight Tunisian hook; however, since Tunisian entrelac is worked with only a few crochet stitches on the hook at a time, regular crochet hooks may be used. The technique is Tunisian-but the hook need not necessarily be a Tunisian hook. Instructions are included for a decorative pillow in each configuration. Instructions include how to plan and estimate yarn amounts for projects of any size in any of these configurations including afghans and bedspreads. Included is a simple border treatment for both the straight-stacked blocks and blocks on point, where you are working on bias edges. 12 pages
