How to Order

Shopping Cart

Select the product required from the PRODUCTS CATEGORIES list down the left side of the page and if applicable then select from the sub-categories until the required products appear.  Most of our products have a small picture and a description of the item.  If the button is visible, clicking it (or the small picture) will provide a larger picture (or the colour chart if applicable).

When you wish to purchase an item, fill in the quantity (and any other information if applicable, such as size/colour) and click on the   button to add the item to your shopping cart. A note will inform you that the selected item has been added to your cart.  You may also check the contents of your cart at any time by clicking on the button on the main navigation bar.  You may delete an item by selecting it and clicking the button. Resume shopping by pressing the button.

Secure Online Ordering

Our secure shopping system incorporates industry standard data encryption and is protected by the latest in hardware firewall technology. This ensures your private information is kept private throughout the payment process.

When you have finished shopping, while viewing the contents of your shopping cart click on the button to finalize your order using our secure credit card payment facilities.  Here you will be required to enter your name, delivery address, contact details and credit card information.  You have the choice of creating an account (to save you having to re-enter all your name, address and email details) - good idea for repeat customers - or you may simply fill in your details and skip creating an account.  When completed you will be provided with a summary of your order which you may print for your records.  You will also be sent an order confirmation by email and Crochet Australia will normally process your order as soon as possible (usually within 2 to 3 working days).

Accepted Forms of Payment

We accept Mastercard and Visa from all customers as well as Direct Deposit, cheque and money order from Australian customers only. Australian customers not paying by credit card will be emailed with required payment amount and if applicable direct deposit details.  As we will not despatch your goods until payment is received, credit card payment is recommended if order is urgent.

Please ensure you provide clear details to avoid delays.  Australian residents may enclose cheque or money order payment with mail orders - please allow for postage and handling - see info at end of this page.  Excess payment will result in credit note, insufficient payment will result in either invoice for balance or request for additional funds prior to despatch.

International orders under $10.00 will incur an additional administration fee of $5.00

Currency
As all prices on this site are in Australian dollars you may use the to convert Australian dollars to your currency.

Payment
We cannot accept international money orders or money orders from your country as we cannot cash them in Australia, nor can we accept personal cheques or bank cheques in your currency. Payment can only be accepted by credit card (Mastercard or Visa).

Shipping

Shipping is by insured airmail international post.  If this is not possible to your country we will advise alternative shipping methods and costs.  We charge actual shipping costs plus a $4 packaging and handling fee.  Insurance fee is $9.60 for $100 coverage, plus $2.50 for each extra $100 cover.  If you do NOT want goods insured  this must be requested in the "additional information" section during checkout, then goods are forwarded at your risk and we will not be responsible for any loss or damage.

If your order consists of light books only, where possible, we will forward by insured airmail large letter, as this is faster and more economical (not available to USA or Canada).

Please allow 2 to 3 weeks delivery for parcels. These items are not able to be tracked during shipment.  You may use the Australia Post international parcel calculator, or we will provide a quote for shipping by seamail, airmail, express post or express courier on request, please provide full postal address.  Please note if using express post or courier services we require your full postal delivery address as most countries will not deliver to a Post Office box.

All goods are sent through Australia Post. 
Actual postage plus a small packaging/handling fee will be charged on all orders.
Minimum postage and handling charge is $4.75 for books and $8.50 for all other goods - see guide below.

Unless you request "Registered Post" in the "Additional Information" section during checkout, all goods are sent unregistered and uninsured, therefore at your risk and we will not be responsible for any loss or damage.  We therefore recommend Australian customers take the option of Registered Post which provides up to $100 insurance cover for a small fee of $3.05 (plus $1.45 for each extra $100 cover).  We reserve the right to register any delivery and charge the applicable registration fee where we determine this to be in your best interests.

Where possible we use Australia Post Prepaid Sachets and charge a flat rate of $13.00 Australia wide for Postage and Handling of unregistered parcels up to 3kg.  These sachets are able to be registered for an additional fee of $3.05.
