MOTIFS
Motifs are small patterned circles, squares or other shapes, which when
joined together form larger pieces of crocheting. The size of the motif will
vary with the size of the yarn used,

The
most common motif is the Granny square. This is usually crocheted with 8ply yarn
in a variety of colours and joined together to form knee rugs. This is a good
way to use up scrap yarn.
We have lots of inquires about how to crochet granny squares. So we have for
you a Free Granny Square pattern from our Paragon book PARC126 Learn to Crochet
Edited by Vicki Moodie
