Join us in August to crochet your very own Lizard Door Stop — a quirky, fun, and functional addition to any home! This amigurumi-style project designed by CraftedJeanne is a wonderful way to try something a little different while creating something you’ll actually use every day.

Using step-by-step guidance from Lynda, you’ll work through this charming pattern at your own pace in a friendly, supportive environment.
During the first class Lynda will provide an overview of the construction and give some additional design ideas to consider. We will then begin construction of the doorstop. In the remaining 4 classes during the month Lynda will continue to guide you through the completion of the remainder of the pattern.
This class is suitable for beginner to intermediate crocheters who are familiar with basic crochet stitches. If you’ve ever wanted to try amigurumi, this is a fantastic place to start!
Material– 10ply yarn, 4mm hook, stitch markers, sewing needles, scissors, fibrefill. This results in a doorstop measuring approx 30-35cm in length.
Main colour – body 230m, white for eyes 20m, red 5m, yellow 5m and a small amount of black.
It can also be made smaller using an 8ply yarn and 3mm hook – measures approx 25-30cm in length. (I used 1 x 130m ball of the main body colour) This smaller version makes a great desk accessory to hold staplers or other small items in place (or make the flat section longer to hold other items in place)
Suggested yarns– 10 ply Fiddlesticks Finch, 8 ply catona, wren.

A bit about your teacher:
Lynda learnt to crochet when she was about 8 years old. She has owned Crochet Australia for over 10 years where she has been regularly leading crochet classes and clinics. Lynda has completed her Crochet Teaching Certificate with the Craft Yarn Council of America and teaches at the Crochet Teaching Course now run by the Crochet Guild of Australia.
