Unlock your creativity through our fun-filled, 3-part crochet course!
This course is suitable for children aged 10+ and adults. No prior experience is necessary.
These lessons will be conducted by Lynda and Lee from Crochet Australia across three consecutive Saturday mornings for you and/or your child. Or learn together to have a shared experience and learn a new skill that will last a lifetime!
Over the three lessons participants will learn:
- How to hold the hook and yarn for measured and consistent stitches and how to coordinate movements,
- How to make the fundamental stitches in crochet,
- How to read a pattern.
- Create a coaster to take home!
The lessons will be in a relaxed environment where you can ask plenty of questions, get lots of guidance from experienced instructors and get real-time feedback on how you are progressing.
Included in the base price is the following:
- 6 hours of instruction over three days (see dates below)
- Handouts to take home and make notes.
- You will need to bring your own 4mm hook and an 8 ply yarn (a plain light colour)
Upgrade to include a quality hook and yarn to learn the skill and make a coaster.
You also have the option to add a book to continue to expand your crochet skills, which also includes a range of beginner projects and get 15% off the normal price.
There will also be hook and yarn to purchase on the day, in addition to the book.

A bit about your teachers:
Lynda learnt to crochet when she was about 8 years old. She has owned Crochet Australia for over 10 years and during that time has completed her Crochet Teaching Certificate with the Craft Yarn Council of America and teaches at the Crochet Teaching Course now run by the Crochet Guild of Australia. She teaches regularly at classes at her store, and other venues both on the Sunshine Coast and Nationally.
Lee works with Lynda at Crochet Australia. She has been crocheting for 14 years after working as a teachers aid for over 10 years. She brings her vast experience of working with Children to create an all inclusive environment.
Lynda and Lee both have Blue Cards for working with Children.
