Description

Crochet a stylish purse designed by Tinna Thórudóttir using 1 of 2 mosaic patterns, and learn 2 techniques – the fundamentals of mosaic and using a zip with crochet. 

The best part is – there is no sewing!  You begin at the zip and can make the purse to any size you desire.

This class will be conducted via zoom on Monday 9th March 7pm – 9pm (Brisbane time). 

During the class Lynda will provide an overview of the construction, reading mosaic charts and how to mosaic crochet.  You will also begin your purse at the zip, then complete the purse at home.

This class is designed for those familiar with basic crochet stitches—chain stitch, double crochet, and treble crochet.

Materials:

Any size yarn can be used with this, but I recommend at least a 4ply yarn of at least 2 colours.  You can use as many colours as you wish, and the quantity will depend on your size. 

Zipper for the width of your purse.

You can use your own yarn or purchase yarn from us ahead of the class.

Catona, Wren, Catona Shine, Catona Chroma.

Cancellations made before 7 days before the class will be eligible for a refund or a store credit. 

Cancellations made after this or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund.

A bit about your teacher:

Lynda learnt to crochet when she was about 8 years old.  She has owned Crochet Australia for over 10 years where she has been regularly leading crochet classes and clinics.   Lynda has completed her Crochet Teaching Certificate with the Craft Yarn Council of America and teaches at the Crochet Teaching Course now run by the Crochet Guild of Australia.
