The Great North American Afghan

This is the second afghan from the six part series of the Knitters Magazine. This afghan comprises of 24 squares each 12 x 12 created by 24 talented designers over a period of one and a half years. Each designer was not aware of the others ideas. Each designer was given several balls of yarn and basically the only restrictions were the finished size and border. Most of the squares begin and end with 6 rows of garter st and have a 3stitch garter border at each side. Use these squares or just some of them and create cushions and throws to suit your own decor. There are written interviews with each of the 24 designers, written and graphed instructions for each square and a how to section with illustrated diagrams. 52 pages
