Description

Join us in our July class to learn to make this ‘one-size fits all’ creation and be the envy of all of your friends.

The Astral Bloom Poncho Top is a radiant celebration of texture, versatility and effortless style.  It centres around the starburst centre motif which will shine no matter how you wear it.  It can be worn in two distinct ways – as a traditional poncho for relaxed easy layering – or as a top – over a camisole, body suit or dress.

This class will be delivered via Zoom on Monday 5th July 7pm – 9pm

During the class Lynda will provide an overview of the construction and give some additional design ideas to consider.  We will then begin construction of the first motif.    Lynda will then also illustrate the joining method and the textured border.

This class is designed for those familiar with basic crochet stitches—chain stitch, double crochet, and treble crochet.

Material – 8 ply yarn.  This can be made in cotton for warm coastal days, or wool or wool blends, acrylic or silk blends for added warmth.  It can be made with variegated yarn or different colours of your choice.

Crochet hooks recommended – 4mm or 4.5mm

You can also make a smaller version in 4 ply yarn – using a 3.5mm hook.

You can use your own yarn or purchase yarn in the shop prior to the class.
